BCC in Outlook Express

Dear Computer Lady,

My computer crashed in July.  The repair shop reloaded my Win. 98.  So many things are now different.

On my email (Outlook Express), I used to have the TO:, CC: and BCC: headers.  But now, BCC is not there.  I have to manually click each name from the “select recipients” screen of my address book.  Before, I simply selected the names, hit OK, then highlighted and dragged them to the BCC line.

Do you have a suggestion that will allow me to have BCC on my Composition Site?

Overtype Mode

Dear Computer Lady,

Sometimes my word program eats a letter when I make a change – making it difficult to do corrections – this does not always happen.  Do you happen to know what causes this?

Thanks Much for any help, CH

Programs in MSCONFIG

Dear Computer Lady:

I just read your last newsletter and I’m so glad you mentioned the letter from Pam concerning her computer running slow.

I have 256.0 MG of RAM and Windows 98 2nd edition.  The only time my computer runs slow is when I’m online but not all the time though.

My question pertains to your reply about the programs running on the start up menu.  When I went to msconfig in the Run dialog box I was surprised with all the programs checked on the start menu that do not show on my system tray.  My problem is I don’t know what these programs are so I’m afraid to remove the check marks. When I right click on them it says “what’s this” When I click on that it just tells me it’s on the start up menu.  No help at all! :(

Is there some way to find out what those programs are?

I have learned so much from your informative newsletters and continue to do so with each edition.

Thanks for your help,
 Ann from Ohio

Alphabetize Favorites

Dear Computer Lady,

I really look forward to your newsletter and learn something valuable from each edition.

I recently purchased a new computer (Dell) with XP Home edition. Is there a way to alphabetize Favorites? I had finally found how to do it with Win. 98….but cannot do it on XP. It makes it much harder to find a listing when I have to go through everything.
