How To Edit A PDF Document

My question is this: I have Windows 10 and when it get
a document in pdf format that I need to input data or edit, how do I do that?

Dear Judy,

The great thing about sending a PDF document to someone is that anyone can download the free Adobe Acrobat Reader and view your document.

However, if you want to edit a PDF document, you need to install a PDF editing program. Adobe is hoping you will purchase their program, Adobe Acrobat, (that is why they give away Adobe Acrobat Reader so freely) but at nearly $500 or $14.99/month it is out of reach for most home users.

Another option, would be to use the free, LibreOffice to open and edit your PDF file.

You can also use Microsoft Word, but you would have to convert the document to Word format first, make your changes, then export the document back to PDF format.
