AVG & Malwarebytes

.Dear Computer Lady,

I have been reading you for many, many years. Thank you so much for the wisdom you have shared.

I have a question concerning Malwarebytes Premium, I also have AVG 2015. I just wanted to make sure that these are compatible. Can you answer that question?

I just wanted to be sure that I am optimally covered.
Thanks for any information you can give me.

Blessings, Kay

Dear Kay,

Yes, Malwarebytes and AVG are compatible.

While you should never run two antivirus programs at the same time, It is a great idea to have one antivirus program and one antimalware program.

This will protect you from both viruses and malware.

Elizabeth

Hi! I had to delete AVG from my old computer to keep it running last winter. It went well, except for one little thing.
When I turn on the computer in the morning, a blank AVG page pops up and sits atop of my desktop. It closes as soon as I click on the X, but how do I get rid of it altogether? It does nothing except remind me of money wasted.

I must say also, that your how to take a screenshot was the easiest description of what to do that I had ever heard (AND IT WORKED ON MY OLD COMPUTER!!!!!!!). I was beginning to think that none of the ‘extra’ buttons on my keyboard ever worked.
