Dear Chet,

Unless you are having a problem with your computer, the best driver update to use is Windows Updates. If there are updated drivers available in Windows Update, you can be sure they are safe to use, and install them.

You can access Windows update by clicking on the “Start” button and typing, “Windows Update” in the search box.

If you are having problems with a specific hardware device (like a printer or video card) you should go directly the manufacturer’s website and check for updated drivers there.

If I am not having any problems with hardware, I like to follow the old rule of, “If it’s not broken, don’t fix it”. *smile*
