Opening Image Attachments

Dear Computer Lady,

I used to have an older computer with XP. I now have a new one with Windows 8. Now when I get emails with IMGjpg if it’s a report I am unable to read it. Adobe reader says it cannot open it because it is either not a supported file type or the file has been damaged. My email is yahoo.com

Dear Linda,

I’m guessing that you are trying to open an image file in Adobe Acrobat reader, which is made to open .PDF files.

Adobe document files end in .pdf
Image files end in .jpg , .png, and .img just to name a few.

What do you have on your computer for image programs?

I would suggest that you go to www.irfanview.com, download and install Irfanview and the add on package, then see if you can open your attachments.
