Google is rescinding obtrusive advertising on the Play Store


Google seems to have seriously decided to engage in the quality of advertising in all of their services combined with Google Ads.

Hardly surprising for anyone, especially for owners of Android-smartphones, that the users often find themselves on rather annoying advertising content, such as music clips 3-5 hovel long, slick software or "decorated" trailers of mobile games.

According to Mishal Rahman, technical editor of the resource Esper, no matter the format, the split-screen announcements, which appear spontaneously or do not close within 15 seconds, no longer meet the company's standards. It is expected that Google plans to introduce new advertising rules for all the programs in Google Play, including the presence of ads in the games during the launch or before the loading window in video format, GIF, static images and other variants. In the opinion of analysts, such a move may be due to the fall in demand for advertising from famous brands due to the service's obsolescence.

In addition, the site also announced that on December 1, all applications on Google Play will be subject to FLAG_SECURE and VPNService, after which they will no longer be able to view confidential data, which are displayed in third-party programs, or create remote access tunnels while using VPN-masking.

Search giant plans to launch a new algorithm of filtration of advertising content already on August 31: starting from that moment, programs indicating hibnical information will be blocked for publication in the Play Store. In addition, it is expected that within a month, the vendor will introduce a new rule, under which each developer of the add-on will be required to clearly indicate the process of downloading the signature (if any).
